  3. we eat apples by the bucket full at my house. plain old apples out of the fruit bowl all year round. If I am feeling really fancy I will make spiced apple pumpkin bread muffins. They make a good breakfast even in the bebegirls calls them cupcakes.

  4. My favorite way is Caramel Apple Pie. Yummy! I can't even gag down applesauce to this day because when I was little I had rheumatic fever and had to take penicillin for a month. They mixed it in the applesauce. Horrible!!! I learned to swallow pills really quickly.

  11. peeled and cut with a instant corer and segmenter (it does it all in one go) and then my husband and I share the segments and the bird (Poppy, our pink and grey Galah) gets the core. You should hear her protests if I forget!(actually you might, they are pretty loud!) She loves to fidget the seeds out and eats them carefully one by one. TMI?

  24. I have made TWO of Ina Garten's French Apple Tarts in the last few days...it is THAT good. Plus it is super easy to make and keeps well overnight (it never makes it past that). It is glazed with apricot jam after it is cooked and it is so worth checking out!
