I am a mom to two adorable little girls, Olivia and Isabelle, and wife to a wonderful husband, Bill. Together we live in the heart of the United States - Dayton, OH.
Sewing found me in adulthood serendipitously, though I was exposed to it at a young age by my mom and grandmothers. My grandmother was a prolific quilter, and my mom an excellent seamstress, making many of my clothes when I was a little girl.
In the summer of 2009, I was taken by a friend to a "real" fabric shop. Before then, all I knew were the big box stores. She took me to a LQS where I caught the bug - the sewing bug! Before the day was over, I spent an inordinate amount of money on enough fabric to make several quilts. And I haven't stopped since.
A member of the Cincinnati Modern Quilt Guild, blogger, and now fabric shop owner, sewing has become an integral part of my life. I get so much joy out of making projects, giving handmade gifts, and the friendships that have formed with fellow creatives.
